Research

Our lab is currently investigating the use of diffractive imaging techniques for early cancer detection. This includes both coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) and digital holographic microscopy (DHM). The image below shows one of our experimental configurations, in which a diode laser and an imaging sample are placed in a vertical configuration. A laser beam profiler positioned on a horizontal translation stage is then used to collect the resulting diffraction pattern, which is reconstructed using the Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm.
