Vern Hart PhD
Dr. Vern Hart is an associate professor of physics at Utah Valley University. He holds a BS in physics from Brigham Young University and a PhD in physics from Utah State University. Prior to his current appointment, he was an assistant professor of physics at William Woods University in Missouri and a postdoctoral research fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. His expertise lies in sparse tomographic imaging and scattering theory.
Brandon Jolley
Brandon Jolley is a student researcher at Utah Valley University on the
CIBEAM Computational and High Frequency Ultrasound teams. He is currently involved with developing curve fitting algorithms and pursuing a project using high frequency ultra-sound.
Brandon has an AS in Pre-Engineering (Bio/Chem emphasis) from UVU and is pursuing a BS in Mechnical Engineering, with a minor in chemistry.

Jeremy Tait
Jeremy is a student researcher and head of the CIBEAM Computational team, as well as a member of the Experimental team. He is currently working in research on applied artificial intelligence, computation in imaging, and experimental imaging using CDI (Coherent Diffraction Imaging).
Jeremy is currently pursuing a BS in Physics.
Tyler Daynes
Tyler Daynes is a student researcher on the CIBEAM Experimental and Computational teams. Tyler is currently working on experimental imaging using CDI, with a unique emphasis in applying CDI using a telescopic setup, as well as computation related to imaging.
He is currently pursuing a BS in Physics with an emphasis in medicine.

Jair Gonzalez
Jair is a student researcher on the Biotechnology team. He currently works with maintaing and propogating cancer cell lines.
He is completing a BS in Biology and plans on pursuing a dual degree in Biomedical Engineering and Medicine.
Jackson
Jackson is a student researcher working on the CIBEAM computational team. He has worked on deep nueral networks, sample classfication, and ultra-sound sampling algorthims.
Jackson is pursuing a BS in Computer science with a minor in Mathematics.
Eliza Ballantyne
Eliza is a student researcher on the CIBEAM computational team. Her current work is on using Deep Neural Networks for Sample Classification, particularly in order to categorize images obtained through CDI sampling.
Eliza is currently pursuing a BS in Physics.

Caroline Torgersen
Caroline is a member of CIBEAM’s computational team. She is currently working on reconstruction algorithms, particularly with using scattering data.
Caroline is pursuing a BS in Physics, with a minor in mathematics.

Ezra Wylie
Ezra is a student researcher and head of the CIBEAM Biotechnology team. Ezra is currently working on using CDI (Coherent Diffraction Imaging) to study and analyze spider silk proteins, as well as coordinating the group responsible for growing and maintaining cancer cell cultures.
He is currently pursuing a BS in Biochemistry.
Savannah Holmes
Savannah is a student researcher on the CIBEAM Biotechnology team. Savannah is involved in include recreating epidermal microbiomes, growing and maintaining cancer cell cultures, and biofilm formation with Staphylococcus on dental plaque.
She holds an AS in general education and is pursuing a BS in Biology (Spring, 2023).

Clint Flinders
Clint is currently a student researcher on the CIBEAM computational and experimental teams. He is head coordinator of the CIBEAM groups and projects, under Dr. Vern Hart.
Clint is currently pursuing a BS in general studies, with plans to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
